And the summer style gongs go to…

This summer has certainly seen an array of trends, especially from the A-list!  But which styles get the gongs this year?  First up cut-off denim is a must and every fashionista should have at least one pair of trusty denim cut-offs in their wardrobes.  Think faded denim, lace embellishments and button detailing if you really wish to work this style to the max!

Team those denim cutoffs with a playful camisole, a long length delicate chain necklace, some hot shades and maybe even a trilby.  However keep the look  classy and don’t make the denim short enough to reveal a cheek or two!

A floral print tea dress is also another must-do style for the warmer months, however when winter does strike, simply add a cute cardigan and a pair of opaque tights to the mix!  For a summer wedding team the cutesy dress with a pair of prom-esqu heels and for a more daytime affair, look to a wedged espadrille for a more low-key and beachy look.

The tea-dress is certainly proving to be a big hit of our time and has once again emerged as a key trend for summer.  You will most certainly see this look at an array of festivals, functions and openings on many an occasion.

Choose a few different styles in statement prints and also block colours in order to update your current wardrobe for summer!  The best bit, such a dress will roll up easily into a weekend bag with out creasing, top points from us!

A Guide to the Types of Dresses for Women

One of the best articles of clothing that can showcase your beauty and fashion sense as a woman would be dresses. This is why you need to have several dresses in your wardrobe that you can wear on different occasions. If you are planning to add a couple of dresses to your wardrobe, here is a guide to some of the types of dresses that you can get to help you narrow down your options.

The Shirt Dress: This type of dress has a bodice which is button-down. It also has a shirt collar and either short or long sleeves. The bodice is attached to the skirt and usually has a built-in belt or other detail that separates the bodice area from the skirt. Shirt dresses first gained popularity back in the 1950s and usually fell at the knee or slight below the knee. Nowadays, shirt dresses still have the same structure and are great to wear in the workplace or for church. To emphasize the classic appeal of a shirt dress, you can accessorize it with a scarf or a pearl necklace.

The Sundress: Although sundresses are most often seen on young girls, during the summer, women can also wear them to have feminine and stylish look. Sundresses usually fall slightly above the knee or at the knee and are made with lightweight cotton. They usually have bright colors or floral patterns, making it the perfect attire for a playful look in the spring or summer.

The Maxi Dress: After making its debut back in the 1960s and 1970s, the maxi dress has continued to be a favorite among women who want to have a casual look. Maxi dresses usually gather right below the bust line and then have a length that reaches down to the floor.
