There are certain icons that we both admire and relish!  Mainly because of what they have done but also because of what they has worn!

Every one has a style icon, no matter what their look!  Whether you wish to be outrageous and over the top or subtle and stylishly elegant!

There is most likely a figure in history that epitomises your exact style!  If not they will most likely showcase a look that you wish to achieve.

There is no use idolising someone that wears everything that you just don’t suit, no matter how much you wish to imitate him or her!

You need to choose an idol that at least shares some of your inspirational style.  Look to someone that already dresses in the fashion that you do.  For example, you may be a heels and dresses kind of girl, if this is the case, opt for a dressy idol!  If you prefer more of a casual and cool look, invest in the style of those who always adopt the carefree and casual style!

Many fashion houses have used such inspiration to create their most iconic pieces, for example the like of bag designers!

A certain number of fashion houses have in fact designed and named a number of their bags after both past and present A-list stars.

It is certainly one bag fest not to miss!  The Royal Academy’s sister space is playing host to the show in question.

It is in fact going to be the biggest French exhibition ever thrown.  The gigantic fashion house Hermes are of course behind the event and intend to both reveal and explore the label’s long standing love of leather.

Designers left right and centre are producing collars faster than we can note down this season’s fashion forecasts!

Log onto your online designers boutiques and here you will find a selection of cracked leather versions, cotton poplin style collars, silk crepe styles and pearl style collar necklaces!

Collars are a great way to add an extra something to an otherwise plain outfit.  If you are rocking a casual tee but intend to head out later in the evening, a dressier collar is the perfect addition to your look.

If you wish to create a high fashion look, wear the collar with a dress.  This detached look screams over the top.  It also rebels from the norm and creates a catwalk trend.

We all feel a little envious at girls with long thick lashes, but there are lots of products on the market to improve yours. Make-up artist Laura Mercia has some good tips for you. We all have a tendency to use mascara past its sell by date when it is both dry and flaky. Laura says Opt for one with moisturising properties such as Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara, which is £18.50.

Want that wide-eyed bambi look? Then you must remember to mascara your lower lashes. You’ll need the cleverly designed tiny brush by Clinique.co.uk, which can be obtained for £11. Use this cleverly designed brush to coat the bottom lashes in mascara. Often when using too much mascara it becomes clumpy, you need to use a brow groomer to separate the lashes.

The colour remix is back this season but with a twist.  Colours you may think are a positive no are in fact a yes this season, because you can now make them look pretty too.

Brush a pressed shadow in light green, 520 from Shu Uemura, all the way from the lash line to the eyebrows.

You may think that green on its own is quite a statement, but pairing it with super hot orange lips will in fact make for a stunning look, that shouldn’t work but does!

Team this with a colour infallible eyeshade in blue curacao.  This will toughen the look up just slightly by adding a little bit of an edge to the delicate shades.

Line the lower inside rim with Contour Khol in Aquatic Blue.

Finish by brightening the lips with Rouge Pur Couture in Le Orange, which can be purchased from the Yves St Laurent beauty counter.

A little tip to make a strong lip appear fresh is to rub the colour in with your fingertips and blur out the edges.  This will make it less sharp and a little softer, great for a dramatic daytime look.

The end result looks fresh and vibrant, the perfect style for summer or alternatively an evening out with the girls.  The look is quite eclectic so let your face do the talking and keep you clothes simple.  Metallic attire works great with this style.

Sweep the hair into a cutesy side plait to make the look suitable for the day and let the locks flow in the evening.  Opt for Hollywood glamour and blow-dry your hair into a soft wave, perfect!

All beauty fans will be grinning from ear to ear when they learn of the new line from Moshino’s Cheap and Chic range.  Their autumn and winter runway show was in fact completely make-up themed, not in a way you may think however!

Dresses, skirts, tops and tees were all embellished with beauty product prints.  Silk tops and chiffon skirts went one step further and appeared embossed with sequinned lips.  The models in fact wore matching glittery lip shades in order to enhance the look even further!

This cutesy look is very Parisian and the perfect style for next season.

The pre-show party was said to be a make-up fanatics dream and actually showcased the model’s themselves in front of large mirrors.  Each model was in fact having their make-up applied by a pro make-up artist.

This particular show certainly got a few fashion savvy individuals a little excited as it gave an insight into what’s to come in the very near future!

This was certainly a true homage to beauty at the very infamous London Fashion Week and one I know beauty fans everywhere will approve of!

Hair appeared piled upon the model’s heads in a wispy and fairy-tale fashion.  This was the perfect match to that of the clothes showcased.

Models contrasted the look with candy coloured shoes and bags.  Jewellery was kept to a minimum and usually appeared in the shape of pearl necklaces and earrings.

An added edge to some of the attire came in the shape of a black chiffon top attached to the dress, which added a demure and sexy feel and contrasted with the prints perfectly.

Alexander Wang showcased this exact look at his most recent runway show, whilst Chanel went for some pretty sleek product enthused chignons.

Donna Karen was another designer to follow suit and her runway collection was a sea of high shine ponytails.  Mugler went on to reveal slick wet roots, whilst Giambattista Valli revealed instead just a touch of gloss.

The above designer’s have Spring’s best wet look hair styles down to a tee and taking notes of any one of the above names will allow you to steal their style inspiration.  Update your pony tail and re-vamp that chignon, wet look hair is hot and here to stay!

L’Oreal ‘registered as Glycanactif hope to launch a cosmetic range this year.

Peter Seeberger, director at Max Planck Institute in Berlin indicated research shows biochemical changes to skin improvement.

Working with L’Oreal he hopes the cream will stimulate  and dramatically improve the appearance of the skin.

A procedure using artificial chemicals to act as natural ones does the trick by regenerating skin cells.

It is surprising to think that lots of scientific experimentation abounds in the cosmetic industry may actually have beneficial side effects.

Richard Gallo professor of dermatology at the university of California said ‘results are good but as yet we’re unsure if these molecules really get into the skin’.

Open to all views he hopes these chemicals will prove beneficial.  But on the other hand is this news in fact more hype in the cosmetic industry.

We will have to wait and see as the product is still undergoing research and is yet to be released.  If it does in fact work as it says it will, we imagine L’Oreal products will be flying off the counter in the very near future.

This will be great news for those that are looking for that little extra skin boost!

Wrinkles, lines, grey and tired looking skin tends to appear twice as worse after the party season as most of us are in much need of a good night’s sleep!  The cold harsh weather conditions also affect our skin, again making it feel a little lackluster and under the weather as appose to really glowing

Every girl loves to add a little sparkle to her life and by that we mean to her wardrobe!  This season has certainly given us a pass to do just that and sparkle we will!

Sequins and stars are both killer trends this season and we are now even seeing them side-by-side!  Whether you opt for a head to toe print style or a subtle addition, both of these trends will certainly allow for a carefree party style.

Metallic sequins are a must this year and appear to be the new grunge-vintage take on the original sequin style.  These sequins are worn with flats and carefree tees for a laid back look that still screams party but in a different way.

Dolce & Gabbana are certainly one fashion house to look to when it comes to this season’s trends of stars and sequins.  They have released the metallic sequin with star combo and such a style comes in the shape of a long sleeved maxi that is perfect for the winter season and looks great teamed with killer chunky heels and opaque tights.

Wear with curls and statement watches as well as a few in your face rings for the ultimate style queen look!

Other pieces to invest in include the likes of a star embellished jumper, a pair of metallic skinnies in super shiny red, a cute pair of embellished sequin shorts, a metallic skirt with zip additions, a statement full length sequin maxi, a tie up star sheer top and of course, a pair of killer lace-up metallic heels!

All of these pieces are must-have wardrobe investments for this season and will look very in fashion throughout the whole of the winter months.

Some fashions are just too ridiculously priced for many fashionistas to even consider!  However trends that generally take to the runway tend to be re-released in a variety of similar styles on the high street!  So if you have found something on the runway that you want in your wardrobe now, check out the high street for a runway copy!  The copies are generally pretty good and allow you to keep your bank manager happy at the same time!

This season is all about a little serious Balmainia.  The outfit in question was seen at the recent runway shows and revealed a very cutesy skirt in deed!

Balmain is certainly high up in the fashion charts and everything they release seems to be snapped up in an instance!  This season they revealed a very daring mini that was created using an array of sequins.

This particular mini was dressed down rather than up and was seen worn with a cutesy grey slouchy tee and white boots.  This is a great item for this season as it ticks all the right boxes for smart casual!  Think statement sequins toned down with comfy casuals and you are good to go!

We went out to the high street to source a similar style that won’t break your bank balance!  New Look offer a cool alternative that comes in the shape of a high waisted puffball style skirt in a silver patterned sequin enthused fabric.  If this doesn’t get a few heads turning, we don’t know what will!

Next up is Zara, there take on the sparkle skirt is also a great one and such a style comes in the form of a sheer edged statement mini glittering with an array of tiny coloured sequins.  This didn’t look to OTT as the sequins were kept at a subtle shade.

Gestuz is another brand to watch out for; their sequin mini offered another head turner and came in the shape of a body con black and silver number.

Finally we have All Saints who house a grunge mini enthused with bronze, gold and black sequins.
